When you enter an address or owner name in a search form, that text is sent to the outside provider that supplies results. This reference does not store a copy of the query on its own server. If you send a message through a contact channel, we receive the details you choose to include and use them to answer.
Technical Site Logs
The hosting service may record an IP address, browser type, pages requested, and time stamps in routine server logs. These records help keep the pages working and show aggregate traffic patterns. Basic analytics or advertising measurement may also use cookies or similar tools where they are enabled.
How Information Is Used
We use contact messages to reply, and technical information to run the pages, find errors, and understand broad traffic. We do not sell a list of visitors or assemble personal profiles of individual readers.
Outside Portals and Services
Links from these pages lead to the Mason County Clerk, Assessor, Tax Office, WV Property Viewer, and other public resources, as well as a third-party search provider. Each outside service sets its own privacy terms. Information submitted on its form is handled under that provider's rules, including sponsored-result searches.
Who Receives Information
Hosting and support vendors may process technical logs while operating the pages. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automated data described above. Information may also be disclosed when valid legal process requires it; otherwise, we do not share it beyond the service providers needed to run the reference.
Safeguards and Retention

Depending on where you live, you may be able to ask a website for access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data it holds. This reference keeps little personal information, so many requests can be answered quickly. Use the Contact page for a request about information sent to this service. We did not identify a separate West Virginia consumer-privacy statute in the research used for these pages. Public property records held by Mason County or West Virginia offices are under the control of those custodians; ask the office that holds a record about access or correction. The West Virginia Freedom of Information Act, W. Va. Code Chapter 29B, governs public-record requests to covered public bodies.
